Build a communications ministry you can depend on

The creative process is messy. I'm here to calm the chaos and cultivate stability.

I partner with the creative on your team to solve the specific challenges you're facing in creative ministry.

Communications in ministry is complicated. It seems like every project is emotionally charged, competing opinions pull people in different directions, and the creative in the room is left trying to figure out how to move forward. Feelings get hurt, and relationships get strained.

If you feel like you have to walk on eggshells when giving feedback, or creative projects are wildly unreliable, you’ve reached the creative tangle.

Unfortunately, working harder won’t fix it.

There's a deeper problem

Most of the time, we call these problems "skill issues" and blame the creative. If only it were that simple. In the majority of cases, the problems leading to unreliable results are deeper.

  • Unclear expectations

  • Haphazard systems and workflows

  • Informal decision-making processes

  • Poor internal communication

  • A lack of relational trust

If these issues aren’t addressed, the creative tangle just keeps getting tighter.

There's a way to navigate the tangle

Experience has taught me that every creative tangle can be untangled. Just like the rat's nest of wires behind your computer, order is possible.

Untangling the creative problems stalling out your communications ministry is what I do. It takes a balance of people leadership, effective systems, curiosity, and craft.

When the partnership between creatives and non-creatives isn’t working, you need a solution that goes beyond symptom relief. You need to solve the root of the problem.

Every solution is built alongside the creative in your ministry, is developed specifically for your ministry context, and aligns with the values of your organization. When you solve your specific needs, the creative process becomes dependable and effective.

  • Momentum starts building without an unhealthy workload

  • Your systems reduce friction

  • Creative projects start to feel like partnerships

  • Decision-making is faster

  • You see less creative turnover

I call this creative durability.

If you think your creative work can be doing more for the mission, it’s time to book a call

On our call, we’ll identify the creative tangle you’re facing and talk through how to solve it.

Behind the approach

My approach was born from a season of leading a creative ministry team that was struggling to gain trust inside the organization. We had talent and ideas, but we weren’t able to flex our creative muscle like we knew we could. We weren’t helping the mission move forward in a meaningful way.

That was the problem I felt. But there was a deeper problem. Our relationships. How we worked with others was limiting our creative potential.

So, I led a change. Our team’s value changed from “creative excellence” to “healthy relationships.” It took time, but prioritizing healthier relationships grew our influence. We were invited into projects earlier, trusted with more responsibility, and given opportunities to contribute that we never had before.

Through this season of creative leadership, I learned how creativity works. If you want a better final product, focus on making the creative environment healthier.
